about me
I am a professor, master coach, nonprofit founder, entrepreneur, leader, and dog lover. I work at the University of Georgia as a professor of adult learning, leadership, and organization development and founding director of the Graduate Certificate in Organization Coaching. I have published 10 books and over 100 articles and chapters focused on making organizations humanly sustainable and leaders transformative creators of change. I am a Sherpa Coaching Certified Executive and Master Coach. I have been teaching coaches how to coach and coaching them as they learn for over a decade.
I have held leadership positions in corporate, nonprofit, and higher education, proudly serving as Founder and Co-director of the University of Georgia Graduate Certificate in Organization Coaching and Immediate Past President of the Academy of Human Resource Development. I am a Co-Founder of Lukas’ Fund, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting babies and families in the neonatal intensive care unit, and I enjoy coaching nonprofit leaders. I am a former Associate Dean, corporate executive, and human resources manager.
I love to travel, cook vegetarian food, stay fit, read and write, taste wine, and hang out at the beach.
